Celebrating local tranditions

In an old house in Choula, Mexico, we designed a new coffee shop. We took inspiration for the materials like clay and wood from the local traditions. The facade, for example, copies the typical colonial facade placing clay tiles half way up the wall. This idea also enters the space, with a mix of clay and a mexican technique for finishing the walls with sand and cement to create a warm interior.
